This spring, seven international design agencies met for a two-day discussion on formulating the 22nd Heimtextil Trends.
For more than 20 years Heimtextil has been publishing trend forecasts in the form of Trend Books. Among other people with whom Messe Frankfurt cooperated closely was the late Gunnar Frank, Dutch designer and trend researcher.
For five years now, the prognoses for the coming season have been worked out by a team of international designers and trend analysts. This spring, design agencies from seven nations met for consultation in Frankfurt am Main.
During the two-day meeting each design agency first presented its own forecasts, which were then discussed. As part of an evaluation process, the experts also examined a wide variety of new materials, textures, colours and patterns from all over the world. As designer Claudia Herke of stylists Bora.Herke.Palmisano explains, “The result is a jointly developed colour line, and a joint thematic statement.”
Bora.Herke.Palmisano is the agency that is responsible this year for preparing the Trend Book and the Trend Show at Heimtextil 2012. As Herke comments, “We are very glad that our agency has been chosen this year to prepare the trends for 2012/2013.”
Messe Frankfurt will present the results of the Trendtable and the Heimtextil Trend Book 2012/2013 at the Tendence trade fair (26 to 30 August). |
