The spirit of the season
Under the positive auspices of the lucky number 13, this luminous and colourful season opens the way to striking developments and calm changes.
It throws up joyful bridges between science and art, for a many-handed creativity.
It teems with clever ideas, crackles with bewitching temptations, and joyously whets the curiosity.
It defies the boringly safe and reasonable
in order to move forward,
proudly choosing optimism, and betting boldly on beauty, innovation and creation.
It sketches out benevolent envelopes to cover the body, with fabrics with just the right balance of materiality and transparency, technology and colourful nobility, natural
refinement and plastic chic.
It structures spirited and lively silhouettes with a light fullness, supple volume, and a long-and-lean fluidity.
It rejects the status quo,
and advocates exceptional simplicity. |

Première Vision: The spirit of the season S/S 2013 |
The Première Vision and Expofil shows, held last 14 to 16 February at the Parc d’Expositions of Paris-Nord Villepinte, demonstrated their vitality and powerful global appeal at a time when economic concerns and uncertainty are more than ever present in Europe.
In three days, the two shows registered 43,278 visits, 73% from international visitors who came to Paris to discover the offer presented by the 713 exhibitors (11 more than February 2011).
And despite the pessimism prevalent in Europe and the slowdown in economic activity, seen particularly in the decline of the Italian (-12%), Belgian (-14%) contingents, there were 32,710 industry professionals from the European Union assured of finding the
most complete and inspiring textile offer.
As Jamie Hadfield, womenswear designer of QRI Clothing, confirmed, «We have a very long list of people to see when we get to the show. Today, we have 17 suppliers to see. Première Vision is great because at home we could spend an entire day seeing five
suppliers, whereas here we can see as many as we can fit in...
It’s also really important for us to see the shops in Paris which is another handy thing about coming in Paris.”
Première Vision, a pool of creative and inspiring fashion proposals offering a high-quality and pertinent selection across different range levels, attracts an ever-growing number of visitors from so-called emerging markets, which continue to move upmarket and are on the hunt for quality collections to satisfy domestic demand. |
| The next edition of Première Vision wil take place from Wednesday 19 - Friday 21 Sept. 2012 / Parc d'expositions Paris Nord Villepinte |
