Series of tailor-made events add value to Spring fair

Taking place for three-days from 17 March 2010, a series of tailor-made services, including special pavilions will assist visitors in making the most out of Interstoff Asia Essential. Emphasizing the global trend towards sustainability, a special pavilion organised by Control Union will return to the fair this year.

Control Union, a certification body based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, specialises in sustainability programmes related to organic and recycled textiles. Among the confirmed exhibitors showcasing their Control Union accredited textiles are Foshan East Asia, Kunshan Sunlong Textile, Tianjin Tianfang Investment Holding Co, Tung Ga and Yuen Hing Cotton.

We believe that the Hong Kong apparel industry is one of the leaders in its sustainability initiatives, making Interstoff Asia an ideal platform to promote this developing trend,” said Mr Hong Lee for Control Union Asia. He further explained: “This is a great opportunity for us to educate the industry face-to-face on different types of organic and recycled fabrics.

Yagi & Co are just one of the Control Union certified suppliers this year. “Control Union is well-respected and trusted within the market. We hope to generate more business leads as buyers know that they can expect quality from our authenticated textiles,” commented Mr. Hal Aoyama for the Japanese manufacturer.

Other pavilions featuring the latest fashion, functional and eco-textiles from China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan are also confirmed, highlighting the latest product developments and expertise from those regions.
