Ground Denim Gallery

In fashion, spring summer 2013 explores new research avenues, loading up on premium innovations, contemporary essentials, sensitive authenticity, and the next steps in ecological developments.

This season’s product realisations, each elaborated by the expedition’s members, are a summary of the creations emerging from this community of developers:
Mathematicians will focus on density, order, logic and rigour.
Chemists, like sorcerers’ apprentices, play freely with materials to perfect the regularity, clarity or plastic aspects of finishings.
Biologists are concerned with soft, refined and safe developments, both for the earth and for us, with modernized and welcoming naturals.
Artists, meantime, are carried away by their absolute dreams of an unexpected future, one spilling over with imagination and ingenuity.

Informing, inspiring, celebrating

One clear indication of the importance of Denim by Première Vision is that more and more exhibiting companies are choosing the Paris show to launch new products, share their know-how, and create special events. The programme this edition:

«Up to denim»: exclusively for Denim by Première Vision, in the Ground Denim Gallery, an exhibition initiated by major international denim player Isko™, which brings together companies sharing the same demand for quality, research and innovation. The exhibit presents a production line incorporating the latest «sustainable» technologies that, at all stages of the process, sketch out a future shaped by cooperation and attentiveness to both man and his environment.

The production line begins with Isko and its latest developments, ISKO FUTURE FACE™, JEGGINGS™ and ISKO EARTH FIT™. Washings and treatments are then ensured by ITACLAB, an Italian company in the forefront of eco-friendly washing technologies. The machines are those of Tonello, the leader in finishing technology, using specialties by Garmon, the major Italian manufacturer of chemical resins and dyes. Finally Dondup, an already iconic Italian brand, presents its premium jeans, representing a synthesis of the entire process.
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Turkish denim-mill Bossa provides entry into the world of «Glowing Whispers.» A maze-like installation, as intriguing as its name, promising many startling surprises.

Orta Blue will be setting up a loom and a spinning wheel, providing connections and starting points for fruitful dialogue and discussions between the Turkish denim mill and its clients.

Blue stars at the Turkish company Calik: under blue lights, blue-clad hostesses serve blue drinks in blue bottles... manufactured using an ecological process, echoing Calik’s new eco-collection.

The VIP Lounge will celebrate the meeting of denim and Italian cuisine. Under the code name «The Cores - easy edibles,» a group of companies from Piceno, a city in the Marches region of Italy, coordinated by Fabio Adami Dalla Val, will take over the space and fill it with the region’s specialties: marmalade and fruit juice, ham, salami and cheese, all products combining tradition and quality.

The same group will be concocting the menu at the now traditional «Happy Hour» on Wednesday evening.
Everyone is welcome, so come!
