21st BEAUTY FORUM MUNICH 2006
Europe's Number 1 autumn trade fair for professional cosmetics bigger than ever
The 21st BEAUTY FORUM MUNICH took place on October 28th and 29th 2006 at the M,O,C, Munich Order Center.
On the occasion of this 21st annual event BEAUTY FORUM was even bigger than ever.
More than 750 companies and brands were on show in eight halls, covering more than 30,000 square metres of exhibition space, all of whom are, once again this year, able to look back at a successful two-day event.
With the inclusion of Hall 4a the exhibition was extended by one more hall which housed exhibits from the areas of nail design, nail care and permanent make-up, all of whom enjoyed a lively flow of visitors.
The biggest ever BEAUTY FORUM MUNICH also registered a record number of visitors. Around 37,380 trade visitors from over 50 countries came to take advantage of this autumn highlight. This is about 10 percent more than came to BEAUTY FORUM MUNICH 2005, making it the highest visitor numbers that the event has ever enjoyed.
Once again an extensive and stimulating IFC programme of supporting events, with 30 workshops in the Cosmetics, Wellness, Business and Nailpro forums, as well as numerous presentations by exhibiting companies and brands at the exhibition's two Meeting Points, was available to the trade visitors.
A total of about 3,450 trade visitors (15 percent more than in 2005) took advantage of the supporting programme, presented by the IFC (International Forum of Cosmetics), with the workshops and free-of-charge presentations at the Pink Point in Hall 5 and the Blue Point in Hall 1.

Highlights of the exhibition were the national and international championships and competitions, and the prize-giving ceremonies.
On Saturday the 16th BEAUTY FORUM Marketing Prize was awarded live
on stage at the Pink Point in Hall 5.

On Sunday the 14th BEAUTY FORUM Blue Diamond Award for trainee beauticians, on the theme "Bollywood", was made on stage at the Pink Point.

On Saturday October 28th 2006, live at the exhibition, the international make-up and nail design championships took place.
At the 19th International Masters' Award Make-up 2006 the nine competitors, each of whom is national champion in his or her own country, presented their interpretation of "Russian Beauty of the 20s".
The winners were:

2nd: Anna Martz of Switzerland
3rd: Assia Helmich of Germany

At the 19th European Masters' Award Nail Design 2006 the reigning nail design champions from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, Greece, Poland, Sweden, Turkey and Denmark took part in this international competition, which covered two techniques – sculpturing and tip/overlay.
The winners in the sculpturing section were:
1st: Sabrina Siebert of Germany
2nd: Gabriele Kainz of Austria
3rd: Emese Koppányi of Hungary
The winners in the tip/overlay section were:
1st: Adrienne Sandor of Hungary
2nd: Eva Guzlejová of Slovakia

On Sunday October 29th the national Make-up and Nail Design
Championships were held.
The new 2006/2007 round of make-up championships, based on a theme of "East meets West", got off to a glittering start on the Sunday when the 20th German Make-up Championship was held.
The winners were:

2nd: Myung Hee Seyb of Wesseling
3rd: Petra Geisler of Oberhausen

The 20th German Nail Design Championships were once more this year run for Beginners and Professionals, and in the two techniques – sculpturing and tip/overlay.

The 21st BEAUTY FORUM MUNICH broke several records - bigger than ever, more halls, more exhibitors, more trade visitors, more trends.
Looking ahead to 2007
The 22nd BEAUTY FORUM MUNICH will take place on October 27th and 28th 2007 at the M,O,C, Munich Order Center. Entry forms for exhibitors will be mailed at the end of January 2007 and will also be posted on the Internet at that time.
