• The fair will feature nearly 2,000 exhibiting companies and a comprehensive exhibition designed to cater for the sales campaign corresponding to the first half of the year.
• The Week will present its promotional brand, Giftrends Madrid.
Between 14th and 18th January 2009, Madrid will present the largest showcase of new features for the consumer goods and household furnishings industry in order to mark the staging of the fifty-sixth edition of International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Week. Over a period of five days, this grand trade event, which is organised by IFEMA, will occupy all 12 halls at FERIA DE MADRID, bringing together the products and services of nearly 2,000 exhibiting companies within an exhibition area measuring more than 200,000 square metres, thus confirming the fair´s highly representative capacity and its status as one of the most outstanding trade events on the European calendar.
Within the framework of the International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week the events known as INTERGIFT, the International Gift Fair, BISUTEX, the Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Trade Fair, and IBERJOYA, the International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition, will all be staged to coincide. These three leading events within their respective sectors offer professionals the opportunity to discover the most comprehensive forum of information, trends and new features.
Furthermore, in order to reflect the progress of this increasingly competitive and dynamic industry, International Gift, Jewellery and Fashion Jewellery Week will presents its new Giftrends Madrid brand, based on a timeless promotional image that has also been completely updated. This new brand will also encompass the newly designed logos for INTERGIFT, BISUTEX and IBERJOYA. The simple appeal of the image, combined with its strong synthesis of all the elements it encompasses, will help to create a powerful visual impact, thus guaranteeing the effectiveness of the communication.
. Editores Textiles: New Ideas from the Best Brands in Decorative Textiles
In order to facilitate the trade´s attendance at the fair and offer an image that is perfectly in tune with the different supply sectors, the INTERGIFT exhibition will be organised around eight different sections. The rest of the sectors will preserve their usual layout: Atmósfera (´Ambience´), Halls 2, 4 and 6; Mesa Viva (´Living Table´, Hall 8; Textil (´Textile´), Hall 8 as well; Elementos Decorativos (´Decorative Items´), Hall 10; Fantasía (´Fantasy´), Halls 3 and 5; Regalos Diversos (´Miscellaneous Gifts´), Hall 9, and Viaje (´Travel Items´), Hall 1.
This exhibition will be complemented, for the second consecutive year, by the latest new features from international suppliers of textiles for home decoration and the contract segment, located within the exclusive area known as Editores Textiles. On this occasion, Editores Textiles will be located in Hall 2, forming part of the fair´s objective of bringing together all ideas relating to the world of decoration on the even-numbered side of the fairground: complementary furniture, lighting, tableware, household furnishings ....etc.
Through the auspices of a number of leading companies and brands, Editores Textiles will present the latest collections in textiles for decorative purposes: rugs, curtains, roll-up textiles, upholstered furniture, painted paper, passementerie, mural coverings, tapestries, fabrics, lace curtains, etc. This section will make up a comprehensive exhibition of trends and new features, offering a series of extraordinary practical and aesthetic possibilities, being mainly aimed at designers, interior architects, stylists, retailers and other opinion-leaders within this field.
. Fashion Jewellery and Accessories for Spring/Summer 2009
For its part, BISUTEX will present an extensive range of items that are fully in line with the latest fashion trends in Hall 7. These ideas will be complemented by the new lines proposed by a number of leading designers for next Spring/Summer 2009 Season. The best international comp anies and brands specialising in fashion jewellery and accessories will all be present at this exhibition, which has become one of the leading forums for the promotion of new trends over its forty-four editions.
The growing popularity of fashion jewellery and accessories ensures the dynamic nature of this sector of the Spanish economy, which is characterised by its capacity to adapt rapidly to market conditions, both in terms of the renewal of its fashion lines and with regard to its extensive range of prices. This sense of agility when it comes launching new products is precisely what characterises the BISUTEX Exhibition, which, on this occasion, will feature the participation of more than 300 exhibiting companies.
. Jewellery: A Living and Constantly Evolving Item
Within this framework, IBERJOYA will take place in Halls 12 and 14, presenting one of the most solid points of reference for the jewellery industry today, based on the participation of more than 500 companies. The IBERJOYA Exhibition will present jewellery as a living item, one that is constantly evolving in accordance with the aesthetic dictates of fashion. This perspective of the jewellery industry will also be promoted by the fair organisers, based on a series of activities that are strongly linked to the world of fashion. In this respect, at this edition we might mention the staging of the spectacular Multimedia Trends Presentation, an event that is due to take place during the course of the traditional Iberjoya Gala Dinner on the evening of Friday 16th January.
