Berlin has turned into a hub for urban fashion, a fact that can easily be measured by taking a look at the local fashion fairs. The Spirit of Fashion has always been among the indispensable of these fairs and will naturally again play its part in the next Berlin Fashion Week taking place 20th to 22nd of January 2010. Like the others it is a pure trade fair and only open to wholesalers and resellers.
 Just like the underground belongs to Berlin, the Spirit of Fashion belongs into the schedule of every shop owner that has dedicated him- or herself to independent fashion. No matter if goth, punk or rock’n’roll, in all these scenes the correct outfit plays an important role and the Spirit of Fashion offers everything related to just the right styling. The range of goods on exhibition covers everything from accessories and footwear to merchandise and even complete outfits. The exhibitors are international and hail from Europe and overseas.
Utilizing the posh former “Kosmos Cinema”, located Karl-Marx-Allee 131, not far from Alexanderplatz and easily reached, the Spirit of Fashion 2010 will move to a new location.
2010 will also be the first Spirit of Fashion after the return of the Bread & Butter to Berlin. As visitor attendance at the Berlin fashion fairs has nearly doubled in the summer of 2009 quite a few exhibitors, who failed to show up during the last fairs, were swayed in their decision and have once again decided to present their goods at the Spirit of Fashion.
No admission fee and a convenient free shuttle service between Spirit of Fashion and Bread & Butter will enable the professional audiences to easily change back and forth between the street and independent fashion segments.
