Francal and Luminosidade launch the next edition of Rio-à-Porter

Synergy between Luminosidade, InBrands, Franca Feiras and Sistema Firjan strengthens business opportunities for the January 2011 Edition

Rio-à-Porter, the official fashion and design fair of Fashion Rio, arrives at a new edition strengthened by the successful synergy between its promoters: Luminosidade, directed by Paulo Borges, who has produced the country’s major fashion events; Francal Feiras, with over 40 years of experience in conducting business events; Sistema FIRJAN, which promotes business in the fashion sector; and InBrands, an operating holding company that invests in fashion related companies.

By uniting the experience of these institutions and professionals, the event became a reality, bringing together leading brands with Brazilian and international buyers; promoting business and meetings of brands with new customers. The next edition of Rio-à-Porter, which will be held from January 10-13, 2011 at the Cais do Porto warehouses, at the same time as Fashion Rio, has already been planned by its directors since June of last year, with strategies and meetings so that the event continues on its path to success in fashion merchandising.

“The integration of the country’s main fashion weeks with Rio-à-Porter during the same dates grants several advantages to fashion brands, buyers and journalists. That was reflected in the success of the most recent edition, when we had a higher than expected sales increase. For the next trade fair, we will have even more new developments related to the selection of fashion brands and in work with the buyers,” says Paulo Borges, responsible for implementing Rio-à-Porter, along with Francal.
