Gallery2020Antwerp is well known as thè fashion city of Flanders. One still speaks of the "6 of Antwerp" and many designers from Antwerp have a great international reputation in the international fashion world. Antwerp's fashion scene is still evolving. Established values remain, but there is also much new talent.

Antwerp is the logical location for the professional fashion fair in the Benelux, the crossroads of Europe. Gallery2020 will be organized in Antwerp Expo, where over 10,000 m2 of space will be transformed into the fashion events.

Visiting Gallery2020 is a "must visit" for any reputable fashion professional. The latest collections of various designers, an exclusive entourage, new designers, concept store, bloggers and a fabrics presentation, will add important aspects of this trade event.

Gallery2020 is a completely different type of fair. It is an experience.

Gallery2020 originated with the question ‘How can we organise a trade fair which will really excite both retailers and exhibitors and help them with their business?’ Gallery2020 is certainly designed to be a meeting place for retailers and leading figures from the fashion world, but it is so much more than that.

Gallery2020 provides a special experience, namely a perception of the present world in which consumers operate. It is an environment in which fashion and culture overlap, in which music and technology help to determine the fashion image, and on which a far-reaching globalisation and new media leave their mark. All these influences together play a part in Gallery2020, from the design of the original trade fair stands to the instructive seminars.

We want to stimulate and inspire retailers to see labels in a new light, but also to learn what else is going on in the fashion world and how this is likely to develop in the areas of production, shop design, and communication.

A visit to Gallery2020 will totally inspire retailers and help them to recharge their batteries.

Gallery2020 is not designed to be the biggest fair, but the most inspiring one.

This is why we looked for a stimulating expression of our concept. Visitors don’t walk past the stands, but through them. Labels stand out not because of the size of their stands, but because of the creativity of their design. Leading national and international bloggers are invited to give their view of the world in 3D. Special platforms give young talent a boost. Debates, workshops, and seminars led by opinion leaders and specialists are immersed in the future of the retail and fashion sector and consider subjects and themes which generate lots of questions and opinions from fashion professionals nowadays.

Labels which take part in Gallery2020 are not merely present, but really take part in the concept. They show that they not only have attractive collections, but also dare to set out a vision. They are not frightened to enter into dialogue with the world around them or their clients. A division between uptown ready-to-wear collections and downtown urban style labels makes it easy for the labels to present themselves clearly. This makes it even more simple for visitors to find their way at the fair. A cross-over between both sections is not only inevitable, but even absolutely desirable.

This is why Gallery2020 is not only about clothing. The fashion industry is influenced by music, art, culture, and technology. We feel it is only right and proper that these disciplines are also represented at the fair. We strive for a healthy balance (70% fashion labels and 30% lifestyle labels) to surprise and inspire both visitors and exhibitors.

Gallery2020 takes place in Antwerp Expo, which is being completely transformed for this event.

Gallery2020 will also break new ground as regards design. Antwerp Expo will be completely unrecognizable as it becomes a platform where everyone can give free rein to their creativity. The stands will be just as unfamiliar: there is only space for collections, but it will be possible to have a drink with clients in the special lounges behind the stands. In this way, we give centre stage to the essence, namely the product.
