CPM – Collection Première Moscow back with new vigour

+ CPM – Collection Première Moscow with 20% more brands
+ Russian fashion retail gradually settling

The international fashion sector is now rebuilding its confidence in the Russian market.
After an unsettled year in 2009 large portions of the sector are now looking towards Russia again with greater optimism. A reflection of this optimism is the 14th CPM – Collection Première Moscow (24 to 27 February 2010) with its 1,200 expected brands – now more than ever the platform for international fashion in Russia.
Compared to the September event Eastern Europe’s leading international fashion fair has now posted a 20% increase in brands bringing figures up to the previous year’s level. Countries like Germany, Austria, France, Turkey or Denmark are again represented with considerably larger numbers of exhibitors than they were in September when the crisis was at its worse. The visitors travelling to each fair in Moscow from some 50 countries will be met by a comprehensive overview of current fashion trends for the 2010/11 Autumn/Winter season.

“After a turbulent year in 2009 the Russian clothing market seems to have come out of
the trough. We see clear signs of improvement on the horizon,” explained CPM Project
Manager Christian Kasch. “International fashion brands are also returning to this
market that continues to hold great potential even though the initial rush is certainly
over.” However, Kasch continues, experts agree the Russian clothing market with its
140 million consumers will not fail to reward the sector’s new confidence with stable
growth rates. “Russia is a reliable and solvent partner due to its raw material reserves
alone. It is now up to the international fashion industry to set a course so as to benefit
from the forthcoming recovery. CPM will also play a key role on the Russian and entire
Eastern European market in future.”

Roccobarocco, Byblos, Christina Effe and some others.

Things are very sensual in CPM Lingerie segment. Brands like Rösch, Daniel Hechter,
Féraud, Parah and Diben Lingerie guarantee the broad fashion overview here.

CPM Kids – Big Presentation for Children’s Fashion
One in five visitors to CPM is interested in baby and children’s wear. For the Igedo
Company this interest is reason enough to present the ‘who’s who’ of this segment at
CPM. The CPM Kids area with its expected 80 brands from the middle to high-end
segment is again very well geared up. A separate kidswear fashion show will once
again playfully stage fashion trends for the little ones amongst us. Included here will be
brands like Mayoral, Bóboli, Airfield, Baldini, Ferrari Junior, Byblos Miniclub, Christina
Effe Kids plus many other renowned exhibitors.

Düsseldorf – Moscow fashion axis with many exciting designers
For six years now the Igedo Company has been supporting and promoting talented
Russian designers as part of the Düsseldorf – Moscow fashion axis. The Igedo
Company gives design talents the chance to present their collections to
an expert audience
at cpd in Düsseldorf and at CPM – Collection Première
Moscow. The designers sponsored for a maximum of one year are thereby given the
opportunity to put their creativity and individuality to the test before an international
audience and forge links with the retail trade. At CPM the Russian designers Leonid
Alexeev
with his label Label Alexeev, Sabina Gorelik with her label GS by
Sabina Gorelik, Lena Karnauhova, Erica Zaionts
and the Russian design group
Ruspublica featuring the designers Max Chernitsov, INSHADE by Maria
Smirnova, Dasha Gauser and Maxim Sharov
will all be presented in the
Designerpool of the Düsseldorf-Moscow fashion axis. Another highlight of
the sponsorship are the two Designer Pool shows held in Hall 4, the Hall of Design.

Russian Silhouette – The winners present themselves on the CPM
Within the framework of the dedication to advance russian designers the Igedo
Company presents the current winners of the Russian Silhouette Charity Foundation
Award on the CPM – Collection Première Moscow. The St. Petersburg-based winner
Valeria Pivotskaya and the runner-up Djemal Mahmudov will present their
collections at a joint-booth in hall 8.1.

Pure information – the Russian Fashion Retail Forum
For the fourth consecutive time now CPM will be offering its visitors a comprehensive
and competent range of information alongside its broad fashion range. Topical themes
currently occupying Russian retailers’ minds will be centrestage at the Russian
Fashion Retail Forum
. In some 25 seminars and workshops Russian and
international sectoral experts will provide information free of charge on highly topical
themes in the fashion business. Participation at the Russian Fashion Retail Forum is free for all CPM visitors and exhibitors, thereby providing real added benefits for every
buyer. “With its Retail Forum and wide fashion range CPM will become a valuable
impulse generator for visitors. Satisfaction with the seminars and workshops has been
very high since the premiere four seasons ago. This is why we are sure that the Retail
Forum will also go down very well in February.”

Inspiration behind glass – the Shop Window Contest
The most creative shop windows in the land will be making their grand entrance at
CPM. At this event unique in Russia a jury of experts will rate the many ideas from
interior designers, decorators, retail firms and visual merchandisers specialised in shop
window design at the POS. The best shop window concepts will be awarded prizes at
CPM. The best ideas will be on show in an exhibition at CPM.

Find what you are looking for – the CPM Business Center
The CPM Business Center once again underlines the importance of the trade fair as a
communication and interaction platform. The Business Center in Hall Forum is just as
much a platform for job offers and job seekers as it is a contact exchange for those
seeking agents, trading partners, dealers, customers or manufacturers. Those posting
their requests at the CPM Business Center have a good chance of finding the right
partner – obviously also including an initial appointment to get to know each other.
Those interested can already register for free at www.profashion.ru ahead of the fair.

CPM – Collection Première Moscow is considered the most important
international platform for the Eastern European fashion sector. Kicking off in
September 2003 with 350 brands and 7,500 visitors these figures have multiplied since
then.

The 14th edition of CPM – Collection Première Moscow will be held from 24 to
27 February 2010 at the Moscow Expocentre.
