ORGATEC 2012, International Fair for Modern Office & Facility, gathering pace / Early bookers' discount up to end of November 2011 |
16 months before ORGATEC 2012, leading International Fair for Modern Office & Facility, opens its doors from 23rd to 27th October 2012, preparations are clearly gathering pace. Just one week after the registration documentation had been mailed, numerous registrations were already received from exhibitors. Each day further registrations are also received from first-time exhibitors, long-standing ORGATEC exhibitors along with companies returning to the fair. "The early return of so many companies cannot only be regarded as a response to the successful 2010 event, but also underlines that ORGATEC is the undisputed leading international trade fair for modern office and facility design", comments Stefan Kranefeld, Vice-President Health, Lifestyle and Facilities, Koelnmesse. "The sector is therefore making use of the fair to present the latest solutions and innovations to visitors from all over the world and also discuss the latest trends." Looking ahead to an increasingly networked, increasingly mobile working world as well as the acquisition of young, highly qualified employees, the coming ORGATEC in autumn 2012 will in particular focus on the theme of "Modern working worlds". On the evening of 26th October 2012 within the framework of the fair, INSIGHT COLOGNE, the ORGATEC Night of Corporate Architecture, will be staged once again. Then, for the second time within the Cologne municipal area, successfully realized office projects with sophisticated, high-quality work and communication rooms and offices can be viewed and examined. A new feature will be Koelnmesse's own guided tours with more specialist information especially for the trade fair visitors. Not only INSIGHT COLOGNE, but also the Competence Centre covering the sectors lighting, flooring, acoustics and media technology will be continued, after it had met with a very good response in 2010. As a result, renowned suppliers, especially from the lighting sector, have already submitted registrations with clear stand enlargements.
The very good results for the event in 2010 have contributed to ORGATEC consolidating its leading function for the international office and facility furnishings industry even further. In 2010 around 61,000 visitors from 110 countries attended the leading International Fair for Modern Office & Facility to obtain a comprehensive overview of the trends and innovations in the worldwide office facility furnishings sector. A total of 604 companies from 41 countries presented their solutions in the Cologne exhibition halls. 60 percent of the suppliers and almost 50 percent of the visitors came to Cologne from abroad. The event has particularly impressed through its very high-level of internationality coupled with the fact that the fair is increasingly being used by top-ranking decision-makers from the industrial and administrative sectors to prepare their investments in the office and facility area. This is because, in addition to the trade, architects and interior architects, ORGATEC 2010 was increasingly attended by trade visitors from user companies. This extended from representatives of major user companies such as banks, insurance companies, health insurance funds, companies from the automobile, chemicals, media and telecommunications sector right up to major retail trade associations or even federal authorities. Almost 90 percent of the ORGATEC visitors stated that they were involved in the procurement and purchasing decisions at their respective companies.
Funding and support for young innovative companies from Germany
On the basis of these results, ORGATEC is once again one of the leading export-orientated German trade fairs at which young, innovative companies from Germany can have their trade fair participation supported and funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. The aim of the funding programme is in particular to strengthen the export of new products and processes through participation at the fair. Those companies eligible for funding are young, innovative firms with company head offices located in Germany, which also fulfil the valid EU definition of a small company (less than 50 employees or annual maximum turnover of 10 million Euro) and younger than 10 years. Further information on this is available at the following website www.orgatec.com.
Early bookers' discount still available up to end of November 2011
The following applies to all those companies wanting to secure an attractive stand location at ORGATEC 2012: anyone who registers up to 30th November 2011 will benefit from an early bookers' discount on the stand rental. |
