The sectors galleries and focus
With the decision of the Show Management to open the sector galleries for a number of galleries which present art since 1960, it has been possible to strengthen the international art show with regard to con-tent and to make it more varied, more attractive and more interesting for the visitors. Furthermore, this year’s art forum berlin is characterized by the return or the first-time participation of leading Berlin galleries as well as important galleries from the rest of Germany and abroad. This decisively raised the quality of the sectors galleries and focus. From Berlin, among others, the following galleries will take part: Galerie Guido W. Baudach, Niels Borch Jensen Galerie, carlier | gebauer, Galerie Max Hetzler, Galerie Kamm, Martin Klosterfelde Galerie, Galerie Johann König, neugerriemschneider, Galerie Nordenhake, Esther Schipper, Galerie Thomas Schulte, Sommer & Kohl, Galerie Barbara Thumm and Galerie Barbara Weiss. Sector plein air
art forum berlin this year initiates the sector plein air. It is an ideal platform for the presentation of installations and sculptures outdoors. The sector plein air is located in the spacious summer garden behind the Palais am Funkturm and is thus directly linked with the exhibition halls. Ten projects by internationally known artists will be shown there. The new sector plein air also has a restaurant where visitors can take refreshments and relax.
