Milano Moda Donna Autumn-Winter 2009-2010
On Wednesday 25th of February it will start, at the Milano Fashion Center - Via Gattamelata 5, the Autumn-Winter 2009-2010 edition of Milano Moda Donna, women's most important prêt-à-porter event.
To inaugurate the event, with a symbolic ribbon-cutting cerimony that joins ideally and in concrete terms the world of fashion to that one of culture, they will be Massimiliano Finazzer Flory Councillor to the Culture of the City of Milan and Mario Boselli President of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana . The ceremony is previewed for Wednesday the 25th of February at 10.30 a.m.
During Milano Moda Donna, thanks to a well structured and balanced schedule, professionals will be able to admire 231 collections that will be the protagonists of the fashion week that, through 92 shows and 172 presentations, will illustrate to experts new trends of the next winter season. 40 of these 92 fashion shows will be hosted in the Milano Fashion Center, in the splendid halls prepared to facilitate the work of all operators. Each designer will personalize his hall communicating the philosophy of the collection and creating each time an event.
As always CNMI turns its attention to the young designers who will put to the test Wednesday the 25th of February with two important moments: at 1.15 p.m. the shows of the winners of the Next Generation contest and at 2.45 p.m. those of Regeneration. Also the 4th of March will be a special day, during which the Fashion Week opens its doors to the young designers with a meeting-debate dedicated to them.
Thousands of industry operators are awaited for this fashion week. The media representatives will be more than 2.000, 1000 of which are accredited at CNMI. These journalists will be able to use some exclusive services purposely thought for them.
The presence of the green area at the Milan Fashion Center is renewed because of the success obtained during the previous edition. The Fashion Garden this year is a true rich and elegant Italian garden, surrounded by boxwood hedges and a fountain around which operators will be able to relax between one show and the other.
The city of Milan will be once again the protagonist of Milano Moda Donna. Five screens located in Piazza San Babila, Piazza San Fedele, Piazza Carlo Magno, Piazza Cairoli and in Piazza Cordusio will broadcast the Spring/Summer 2009 shows.
